Facebook Messenger Version 5.0 Brings Multiple Features and Improvements

Facebook Messenger service has recently been updated to version 5.0. The fifth release does not bring an impressive visual change, but it offers plenty of impressive new additions to the main chat window. This will make it easier for users to send all your non-textual communications.

Among its new features and improvements, Facebook Messenger v5.0 allows users to open a new or archived chat with someone, where you will see a new row of icons along with the bottom of your device screen. In the same time, the functions are practically the same, along with some additions.

Now, users will be able to send standard text, take an instant photo, and upload a different photo, insert a sticker, send and receive voice messages. Moreover, users will be able to use the “like” button, which inserts a giant thumb up into the conversation. Those of you, who are fans of liking each statement, will definitely enjoy this feature.

The only truly new feature is the quick link to the camera. This will open a “selfie” window just bellow the conversation, so you do not have to turn the camera, and then, to switch it to take a photo. Moreover, you can easily choose to use the rear camera instead.

What is worth mentioning is the fact that now, the application now supports sending videos from your device right in the chat window. However, for this feature, you need to run Android 4.3 or later.

In the case of the stickers, if you tend to use these suggestive icons and smiley faces, you can get as many as you want. If you really want a bunch of new stickers, just tap on a sticker that your friend uses and this will open the store page for the relevant pack. Here, you can simply download it.
